About

Hi there!
I have been rehabbing almost every season for almost two decades.

Also, I’m not actually a doctor.  The name Dr. Dolittle came from a book I loved as a child.

I take in a variety of different species every year, including raccoons, skunks, squirrels, opossums, deer, foxes, and anything else that may come my way.

I have two rooms and three outdoor enclosures dedicated to rehabbing and preparing for release.

I soft release onto my own land, and provide the animals with shelter, food, and water so that they can better adjust to being wild, before they move on to other area’s.

Rescue and rehab is something done on my own time, and the animals care is all paid for out of pocket.

Rehabbers do not get paid to rescue animals, and the cost of supplies, food, maintenance, and vet care is astronomical!

I work from home, which enables me to better care for the animals.

My goal is to educate the public, so that the danger to wildlife lessens, and maybe people will learn to live with them peacefully.

I’m glad you’re here, and I hope you learn something! 🙂
