Reuniting Wildlife Babies

Before you decide that the baby you have found is an orphan, please try some of these things.

A baby is always better off with it’s mother, and if there’s a chance to reunite them, please do so!

Please keep in mind that the mother will NOT reject the baby if it’s been touched by a human!

If you know where the nest or den is, and can return it, please do so.

If it’s a newborn, and not able to move (crawl, walk, ect) around well just yet, place it in an open box lined with a blanket near, or in, the area that it was found.

Check the box from time to time, but don’t stay near it.

A lot of times, mothers will come back to collect their babies within 24 to 48 hours.
